Serena is the newest resident of Gift of Hope in Jamaica. When she arrived at Gift of Hope in July of last year, she was severely malnourished and could not even hold up her head.
Serena has cerebral palsy, microcephaly, and a seizure disorder. When her family could not care for her, she found a new family at Mustard Seed Communities.
Her progress in just a few months has been amazing. With a special diet and therapy, today Serena is thriving. She has gained weight and her head control is improving. She loves to smile and listens closely when people talk to her. We are excited to watch her grow and see what she achieves in the years to come.
